Carl Verheyen Band 25th Anniversary Tour

After a very successful tour in the Pacific Northwest, the CVB heads to Europe this month. Carl will play the Ullapool Guitar Festival in Scotland and a very special solo acoustic show in London before meeting up with the band in mainland Europe. This tour will take in 22 cities in 6 countries before its final show in Basil, Switzerland. It will be called the Carl Verheyen Band 25th Anniversary Tour because the band has toured steadily every year since 1997!

In November, after a few dates in and around the Los Angeles area, the band will begin working on a new album due to be released in 2023. Expect to hear some of the new music on the upcoming tour, as Carl believes the best way to work out arrangements is not in a rehearsal studio, but on stage. "The reaction of a live audience in real time is more valuable than many hours of rehearsal." Carl remembers Supertramp keyboardist Rick Davies saying, “It’s too bad the record is always a demo for the tour. By the time the music gets played every night on the road it becomes truly realized.”  Luckily CVB fans come to hear the band play, not necessarily the hits!
This will also be the first tour in many years that the CVB is expanded to a quartet with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Troy Dexter on keyboards, guitar and vocals. Longtime CVB members Dave Marotta and John Mader will ensure a positive, dynamic performance every night featuring "songs we haven't played in years."
